Nerds 4 Hire was launched in December 1999. The owners of Nerds4Hire were employed by Interlog Internet Services, one of Toronto's largest ISP's. Interlog had a reputation for quality support and reliability until it was purchased by a large American ISP. This company introduced new policies and Interlog's customer base began to deteriorate.
The original Interlog staff was eventually laid off and the Nerds found themselves unemployed. There were lots of opportunities for employment throughout North America. The Nerds did not want to contribute to the Brain Drain to the USA, so they decided to make a go of it here, in Canada.
