Dear Friends

We all share the same commitment and love for this culturally vibrant City in which we live. I have the best job in the world as Mayor of the greatest City in the world!

When I ran for Mayor of our Toronto in 1997, I pledged to do my best to ensure that this would be a City that works and today, I am pleased to say that our Toronto is the City that works and plays!

With Council, I have worked hard to deliver on the promises that I made to you three years ago. We have kept taxes under control with a ZERO tax increase for three years running - while maintaining services and continuing to help those in need. We have brought in new jobs and investment, protected neighbourhoods, fought crime and made our Toronto a safer city. We have ensured that our citizens enjoy good reliable City services.

We have the foundations in place - it is now time to take the next step and make our Toronto even better.
